We are pleased to offer this unique, fully rebuilt and re-engineered ‘M’ Series TVR for sale. This car has been created to an ultimate specification and without regard to cost!
It’s really difficult to know where to start, the last owner, who is a well-known within TVR circles, wanted to create his Ultimate Spec Classic TVR. To this end he acquired an original but tired 1972 3000M. The car was fully stripped and a total nut and bolt rebuild was undertaken.
A replacement chassis was manufactured and re-engineered to accept a fully rebuilt Ford Motorsport specification 331 V8 Engine with roller rockers and alloy cylinder heads producing around 400bhp! The engine is mated to a fresh Tremec T5 Gearbox with Quaife internals driving through a freshly rebuilt ‘Powerlok’ 3.08 Limited Slip Diff.
As you’d expect the brakes have been upgraded with new Vented AP Front Discs and AP Racing four pot calipers upfront and a disc conversion to the rear. The suspension is fully poly bushed and damping is taken car of with a set of Gaz Adjustable Dampers fitted with uprated Eibach bespoke rated springs. All of the wishbones have been fully refurbished and the car has new uprights fitted, a floor mounted pedal box has been fitted which allows adjustable brake bias.
The car wears its original 15” Wolfrace wheels which were refurbished and fitted with V-rated tyres.
In addition to the replacement chassis the body of the car was fully restored by Surface & Design in Blackpool. It was taken back to bare fibreglass gel-coat repaired as required and refurbished to the highest standard above and below – finally being painted in BMW Pepper White. The original bonnet was properly modified to give a clearance over the engine air filter.
Once painted the car was fully professionally paint-corrected and ceramic coated to preserve its superb finish! The interior was fully restored by a marque specialist, re-trimmed with top grade leather and leather bound wilton carpets. A bespoke alcantara headlining was fitted and the original factory sunroof fully restored. Brand new matching Smiths classic instruments were fitted and a modern touch coming care of a heated front windscreen. The car has been re-wired with a new cloth bound loom.
The car further benefits from Custom Built Exhaust Manifolds with a bespoke stainless steel exhaust, a modified Griffith Alloy Radiator with Twin Cooling Fans with a manual override, Period Radio, etc.
